    Description

    Ceftum 500 mg Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections of tonsils, throat, sinus, ears, respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin infections, and soft tissue. It is an antibiotic medicine, and it contains Cefuroxime as an active ingredient. Cefuroxime is a higher antibiotic and belongs to the class of cephalosporins. It works by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of bacteria, which ultimately causes the death of bacteria. You should avoid taking antibiotics for flu, cold and seasonal allergies as these diseases are caused by viruses, and antibiotics are not effective against viruses. Excessive intake can make antibiotics ineffective against infections, thus refrain from using it excessively and for a prolonged time.
